Indians Can Now Visit Thailand Without Visa For the Next Six Months; Details Here

In a major boost to tourism, the Thai government has announced that Indian citizens can now visit Thailand without a visa for the next six months. The visa waiver scheme is effective from November 10, 2023, to May 10, 2024.

To be eligible for the visa waiver, Indian citizens must have a valid Indian passport with a minimum validity of six months from the date of entry into Thailand. They must also have a return ticket and proof of sufficient funds to support their stay in Thailand.

Visa-free visit to be valid for maximum of 30 days stay

The visa waiver applies to all types of Indian citizens, including tourists, business travelers, and medical tourists. However, it is important to note that the maximum length of stay under the visa waiver scheme is 30 days.

To avail the visa waiver, Indian citizens must simply arrive at any Thai international airport and present their valid passport, return ticket, and proof of sufficient funds. They will then be issued a visa on arrival free of charge.

The Thai government's decision to waive visas for Indian citizens is expected to boost tourism and trade between the two countries. In 2022, Thailand received over 1 million Indian tourists, making India the fourth largest source of tourists to Thailand.
